Welcome to Beam Sandwell, an emotional health and well-being drop-in service

Young person talking with project worker

A problem shared is a problem halved – you're not alone.

Something on your mind? We’re an emotional health and well-being service for young people. Come to one of our drop-in services across the Sandwell area and talk to us about how you're feeling. We’re here to listen and support you.

We understand that talking about how you feel isn’t easy, especially with someone you don’t know. You may worry about what to say, what the reaction will be or you may not understand why you feel the way do. It could be a bad day or an ongoing issue that's affecting your mood - for Beam, no problem is too big or too small. You can talk confidentially to someone in the Beam team who will listen, understand and provide advice and guidance to help you.

If you don't feel like talking straightaway, that's okay. Our drop-in service provides a safe space for you to take some time out to think, hang out and talk when you're ready. Whatever the problem is, we're ready to listen and talk it through. No judgements, no pressure and no appointments - just drop-in.

What to expect at Beam Sandwell?

When you arrive at Beam, one of our friendly staff will welcome you. Even if you're not ready to talk, you can come in to relax and chill out.

We mostly talk to young people on a one-to-one basis and sometimes through group work. We also use arts and crafts, play games, and run fun activities to make it easier for young people to talk to us about anything affecting their emotional wellbeing. Whether you have self-esteem issues, experiencing low mood or feeling angry, anxious or stressed - Beam is here to talk it through.
