At The Children’s Society, we’re working to Save Teenhood. We can't do it without you. Whether you’re a commissioner, business, a researcher or a philanthropist, you can work with us to make a difference.

Work with us to create brighter futures for young people

We know that lasting change takes more than supporting young people one at a time. So, we work alongside young people to understand what’s affecting their lives, provide support when they need it, and use what we learn to influence the systems around them.

That means there are many ways to work with us. Whether you’re a commissioner looking for effective services, a business wanting to create meaningful social impact, a researcher exploring issues affecting young people, or a philanthropist looking to support lasting change, we can work with you to make a difference.

Together, we can help young people get the support they need now – while changing the systems that shape their futures.

Commission our services

We combine decades of experience working with young people with evidence, insight and innovation.

Our services and training can help public sector organisations, commissioners and businesses strengthen the support they provide to young people – while delivering against their own organisational goals.

From early mental health support to safeguarding and exploitation training, our services are designed around the real experiences and needs of young people.

Work with us on research

Our social research helps us understand the experiences, wellbeing and safety of children and young people – and use what we learn to create change.

We put young people’s experiences at the heart of our work, combining their views and their living experience with rigorous quantitative and qualitative research, such as surveys, interviews, observations, and other methods.

Our annual Good Childhood Report provides insight into children and young people’s wellbeing, while our wider research explores issues including safety, risk and the factors affecting young people’s lives.

We work with external research organisations, academics and other partners to develop and deliver research that can influence policy, campaigning, services and practice.

If you have an idea for a research project or programme and would like The Children’s Society’s involvement, we’d love to hear from you.

Support lasting change through philanthropy

Philanthropic support can help us act earlier, prevent harm and develop approaches that improve outcomes for more young people.

Whether you’re an individual major donor giving £5,000 or more, a trust, or a foundation, we can help you explore opportunities that align with your interests and priorities.

You could support early intervention, innovation, research or work that helps influence wider systems. We’ll give you insight into the progress and outcomes your support is helping to achieve, with opportunities to see our work and hear directly about its impact.

To explore what your support could make possible, contact our Philanthropy and Partnerships Team at philanthropy@childrenssociety.org.uk

Campaign for change

Some of the changes young people need can only happen when people and organisations come together to demand action.

We campaign alongside young people to influence decision-makers and create changes that improve their lives – from improving access to mental health support to protecting young people from exploitation.

Professionals and organisations can play an important role by sharing expertise, amplifying young people’s voices and supporting campaigns for change.
