Save Teenhood is coming this November
You're among the first to hear about our new mission to make sure every teenager has the support, opportunities and protections they need to thrive.
This November, we'll be launching Save Teenhood more widely, sharing more young people's experiences, shining a light on the pressures shaping teenhood today and exploring what needs to change — as well as what we're doing about it.
Teenhood matters
Teenhood is a crucial stage of life. It connects childhood to adulthood, shaping who we become through the experiences, opportunities and support we have along the way. It can be a fantastic time, but it can also be filled with pressure, uncertainty and risk.
The challenges facing teens today are changing fast. Yet too often, the systems meant to support and protect them are not keeping up.
Britain’s teens are being let down by failing systems, trapped in poverty, and facing abuse on and offline.
That's not right.
That's why we're raising the alarm to Save Teenhood.

Be a guiding light for teens
June, one of the young people who helped develop Save Teenhood, describes teenhood being "a sailor lost in a storm with no compass", navigating the pressures of social media, career choices, appearance, mental health and an uncertain future.
Through his experiences with The Children's Society, June found support, opportunities and the confidence to move forward at his own pace. He says the organisation has helped him find his voice and connect with new people, giving him hope for the future.
June believes that young people should be involved in shaping the solutions to the challenges they face. That's why young people's voices have been central to the development of Save Teenhood, helping ensure the campaign reflects the reality of growing up today.
