What is Pause?

Pause is a drop-in facility in Birmingham city centre. Our aim is to provide young people aged up to 25 with advice, signposting, and support with any concerns related to mental and emotional wellbeing. Pause, run by us, is part of the service offered by Forward Thinking Birmingham.

Our services

Our great team of youth workers, community counsellors, senior therapists and volunteers offer young people with guidance on mental health topics. Our specialist staff members also provide caring advice and guidance in particular areas including eating disorders, depression and trauma.

Located in our comfortable surroundings at 21 Digbeth, we have a variety of online resources that can be accessed at our tech space, if young people just want to browse information.

The team is very passionate about empowering young people. Simply listening to the young person’s experiences or providing more formal therapeutic sessions and information can make that all important difference.

Signposting (for adults)

Clinicians who have been contacted by a young person and believe Pause could help, we ask you contact the main access centre and ask for Pause on 0300 300 0000.
