In early 2025 we launched an ambitious plan to celebrate our services in the East of England by providing regular 'newsletter' information on our services and staff teams.

Current Vacancies

EYPDAS Practitioner (Essex Young People's Drug & Alcohol Service) - Closing date 9th November 2025

2 x Substance Misuse Practitioner posts (West and North Areas) - Full time 35 hours - Permanent with funding until 31st March 2030. 

 We wish to recruit two Substance Misuse Practitioners to join the established All Age Recovery Co-ordination Service (AARCS), which we deliver in partnership with Open Road, supporting young people, adults and families affected by substance misuse.  You would be based in either Harlow or Colchester and expected to travel within that quadrant. You will undertake individual assessments and risk assessment with young people up to the age of 25, developing a person-centered care plan specific to that young person and their needs and supporting them through their recovery journey with the service.  This will be delivered through a range of tailored interventions, in both a one to one and/or targeted group work capacity.

Family Worker  - Closing date 23rd November 2025 

This role is based in Chelmsford with Essex wide travel - Full time 35 hours - Permanent with funding until 31st December 2026. 

We wish to recruit a Family Worker to join our new family team. Combining our current family workers we have extended the support we can offer parents and carers of the young people who engage with our Essex services. You will support the team to develop family-centered care plans specific to needs.  This will be delivered through a range of tailored interventions, in both a one to one and/or targeted group work capacity.

Youth Diversion Practitioner  - Closing date 30th November 2025

This role is based in Chelmsford with Essex wide travel - Full time 35 hours - Permanent with funding until 31st July 2026. 

We are looking for an experienced young people's practitioner. You will be confident in your work with young people and join our dynamic, ambitious team.   The Youth Diversion practitioner will offer a community-based assertive outreach programme focused on early intervention and targeted prevention for those young people identified as most at risk of becoming involved in substance use.
