two teenage girls speaking to a support worker

Our Include service is home to the national young carers initiative supporting children and young people who care for parents, siblings or others who suffer from chronic illness or disability
What we do

We campaign for change, promote best practice with central and local government, and work in partnership with key workers to support young carers

Whole Family Pathway

Our Whole Family Pathway tool is a resource for all practitioners who have contact with young carers and their families. We have developed this Whole Family Pathway, to ensure that however a family (parent or child) in need of support first makes contact with an agency, the same key points are followed

Young Carers Festival

Our Young Carers Festival provides young people with the opportunity to have fun, relax, socialise and have their voices heard about issues that affect them

The Children and Families Act 2014 and Care Act 2014 outline the duties for care and support for young carers, young adult carers and their families.

Refugee Toolkit

This resource will enable all agencies to stay informed about the needs, rights and entitlements of young refugees and asylum seekers. Including those who take on inappropriate caring roles for another person and could be a young carer.
