The mission to Save Teenhood is something we can only achieve together. It takes everyone – young people, supporters, communities, professionals, campaigners and those in power – to make change happen.

Every donation helps us work towards a future where young people can grow up safe, supported, and able to thrive.

What your donations make possible

Your donation might help fund a wellbeing drop-in session, so a teen has somewhere to turn and someone to talk to when they need it most. Or, it could be used toward the training and safeguarding that enable that support. It may fund the research that helps us understand what young people need, or the campaigning and influencing activity that pushes for changes to the systems affecting young lives.

All of these things are part of creating positive change, and your donation helps make that whole system possible.

See how your donations make a difference

From drop-in support for emotional wellbeing to intensive work supporting young people experiencing or at risk of exploitation, last year we ran 87 services reaching 73,186 young people.

We also reached 18,606 professionals through training and events, helping them to better support young people. And we campaigned for the rights and protections that will improve young lives, helping to secure the monumental removal of the two-child limit, lifting an estimated 450,000 children out of poverty.

How we raise money

Fundraising helps us reach more supporters and generate the income we need to sustain and grow our work.

We invest in fundraising because it helps us raise more money to deliver the change that young people need and deserve. Like other organisations, we have costs involved in raising money — but our aim is to make that investment work as hard as possible so that we can support more children and young people.

In 2025–26, supporters helped us raise an amazing £27.5 million in voluntary income and a further £12.6 million through our shops.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who give their time and skills to support our work. Their contribution is invaluable, helping us make our resources go further and reach more young people.

Using your donations responsibly

We take our responsibility to our supporters seriously.

Our board of trustees oversees how we use our resources and makes sure we remain focused on being as effective as possible for the young people we serve. Trustees review our performance, financial plans, risks and major decisions, providing challenge and scrutiny over how we operate.

We’re also regulated by the Charity Commission and publish our annual reports and accounts, so you can see more about how we are run, where our money comes from and how we spend it.

As registered members of the Fundraising Regulator, we’ve committed to following the Code of Fundraising Practice. That means we’ll always treat you with respect, be open and honest about how your support is used, never put you under pressure, and make sure you can always trust the way we fundraise.

Our aim is simple: to make sure the support you give helps create the greatest possible positive change for young people.

Why we employ paid staff

Making a lasting difference for young people takes skilled, committed people. We employ trained practitioners, safeguarding experts, policy specialists, fundraisers and the teams who keep our services safe, effective and well run.

Paying people fairly helps us attract and retain the expertise we need to deliver our work to a high standard and make the most of the support our donors give us. This includes our senior leaders, who have responsibility for leading a complex national charity and making sure we deliver effectively for young people.

We’re committed to being open about how we use our resources. Our annual reports and financial statements, including information about senior staff remuneration, are publicly available through the Charity Commission.

Together, we can Save Teenhood

Too many teens are in crisis, missing trusted role models, trapped in poverty, and facing abuse, on and offline.

Because these experiences are complex, our response needs to be too. We provide support when young people need it, work to prevent harm, and campaign for the rights and protections every young person deserves. Thank you for standing alongside them.

We work with those who are exploited, neglected, unsafe. Young people come to us when they feel lonely or want to escape an abusive relationship. We work across a range of issues because the things children go through are complex.
