The Hand in Hand project has been established in the Keighley District of Bradford since 2008 and more recently in Craven since securing funding from the North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner. We are an experienced and committed team of practitioners with backgrounds and qualifications in social work, youth work and nursing as well as many years’ experience of supporting vulnerable children and young people. We are a partnership between The Children’s Society and Bradford District Care Trust. We also work closely with our partners from the voluntary and community sector, West Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner through our work in Craven and Children’s Social Care through our co-located work in Bradford.
The Children's Society in Keighley, Bradford & Craven Hand in Hand Project works with and supports children and young people (boys and girls) involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation in its many forms. It supports young people who are wishing to exit abusive and exploitation relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings across Keighley and Craven, as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation across the Keighley & Bradford District and Craven.
The Children's Society in Keighley, Bradford & Craven Hand in Hand project strives to provide a safe and accessible service for children and young people involved in or vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
