The South Downs Trail Marathon is a classic event with fantastic scenery, including Queen Elizabeth Country Park

South Downs Trail Marathon

When: TBC 2019

Where: South Downs, Hampshire

About: In what seems just a few short years, the South Downs Trail Marathon has become a classic on the running calendar. It’s not surprising when you see the fantastic scenery on the route.

The route starts in the grounds of Slindon College just outside Chichester and and runs via the Monarch Way, to the South Downs Way. From there the course follows the National Trail west towards the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Parking is available at the finish.

The event has now introduced a trial 10km course in Queen Elizabeth Country Park, instead of the original marathon relay.

Runners and participants can enjoy and celebrate the day with picnics on the grass at the finish under Butser Hill.

Registration fee: £35
