Once your event is over, all that remains is for you to pay in your donation

There are different ways you can send us the money you raised. To help you pay in your money safely, we have prepared a set of cash handling guidelines

1. Send us a cheque

You can pay the funds raised into your own bank account and then send us a cheque made payable to ‘The Children’s Society’ using the address details below.

2. Pay donations in at the bank

You can pay funds directly into our account at your local Barclays bank.

To do this, you’ll need to complete one of our fundraising giros and take this along with your donations when paying in. You can pay in at another bank or a Post Office if necessary, however you may be required to pay a small fee to do this and we may not be able to acknowledge your donation.

If you don’t have a giro, please call 0300 30 30 555 to order one, (8am–9pm Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm Saturday–Sunday), or you can order one from our online shop.

3. Send us your emptied collection envelopes, paying in form, and sponsorship forms

If you used collection envelopes as part of your fundraising, please remember to send us these. In order to claim Gift Aid on these donations, HMRC requires us to prove that each individual donation was collected at your event. So please complete the paying in form, and send it along with the collection envelopes.

You can download a copy of the paying in form, or order one to be sent to you from our online shop.

Please ensure that all of the envelopes are completely empty of any cash before you send them to us – you should never send us cash in the post.

Once you’re happy that all of the envelopes have been emptied of all cash, and you have completed the paying in form, please post them to us for free to:
