Organise your own event

Do something new. Change a child’s life
Organising your own fundraising event is a fun and rewarding way to help more vulnerable children and young people in a way that suits you

Join our team by organising your own event

Whether you have a place in a marathon, a cycle ride or your hiking up a mountain, you can raise money to support our work.

You could bake a cake, organise a collection or have a night in with your friends while fundraising for us.

Raise money for us while doing a dare, singing or dancing, or doing another hobby that you love. Our staff will be here to support you, just let us know your plans and fill in our form.

Coronavirus Covid-19 update

Coronavirus is contagious. Please take every precaution to ensure you are spreading only kindness. Only undertake fundraising activities if they’re absolutely safe for you and others, like virtual challenges or events collecting online donations. Always refer to the latest advice.

Planning your event

The key to any successful fundraising activity is good planning. Whether this is your first time planning an event or your fiftieth, our Guide to Fundraising (PDF) is a good place to start to help you plan your event.

From collection buckets, to collection envelopes and information to help you speak to people about our work, we’ve provided everything you need to help you run a successful fundraising event.

The difference you can make

The money you raise from your event allows us to provide urgent support to our country's most vulnerable children and young people.

Whether facing the disadvantage of poverty, the burden of caring for a loved one, or the trauma of sexual exploitation, we make it our mission to help young people when they most need us.

Cash handling advice and paying in your money safely

As part of your fundraising activities you will most likely handle cash. This could include collecting, counting, storing, transporting, banking and recording cash. It’s important to follow our guidance when handling cash, to ensure the safety of our volunteers and supporters and to protect the money you raise.
