Where: Edinburgh, Scotland

About: The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is now in its 16th year and takes place over the weekend of 26th and 27th May 2018.

The Edinburgh Half Marathon is one of the largest half marathons in the UK and has sold out every year since 2012. The route is fast & flat and follows the marathon course which was voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World, so it’s ideal for your first half marathon or you are looking for a personal best.

Passing through the heart of Edinburgh, you’ll see the National Museum of Scotland, the National Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyrood and the coast, finishing at the beautiful finish line within the playing fields of Pinkie School.

As a major event in the Scottish sporting calendar, thousands of runners, families and public supporters come along to be a part of this ever-growing, fantastic festival. There really is something for everyone on this Bank Holiday weekend, including junior races, a 5k and 10k, a team relay and of course, the great half marathon itself!
