Box activity is currently on hold

Box Coordinators like you have shown incredible commitment over the years and again recently as we’ve entered this very challenging time. Thank you so much for the kindness and generosity so many of you have shown in the last few weeks.

We know you're passionate about being there for vulnerable young people when they need you. We’re also really committed to the safety of you and your loved ones. That’s why we’ve taken the difficult decision to postpone all house box collection activity until further notice. Whether you usually organise an event for your box holders or whether you visit them individually to collect, please pause any such activity.

Coordinators who are due to open their networks’ boxes in May, June and July are due to receive a letter to let them know. If you recently completed your collection but haven’t remitted the funds raised yet, please keep financial donations together with all confidential paperwork (eg box list, addresses, Gift Aid information and box holder registration forms) in a safe and secure place so that others cannot access this.

We understand this may be disappointing news for some of you – but the safety of you and your community must come first. Please be assured that we’re doing all we can to ensure we’re still there for the children who need us most – particularly as the most vulnerable are likely to need us more than ever.

We’ll be keeping our website up-to-date on the steps we’re taking to support children and young people and introducing some new ways to support our efforts too – please do visit our Coronavirus Covid-19 web page to find out more.

Thank you again for your amazing commitment to this country’s children and all that you do with us to make a difference.

Most of all, please follow Government and NHS advice and look after yourself!
