Our corporate partnership with the Bullring

Birmingham Bullring

We are always looking for opportunities to partner with other organisations who share our passion to improve children’s lives, and our new partnership with the Bullring builds on our strong history and current work in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Our work in the region currently includes programmes and services helping young people affected by complex issues such as addiction, sexual exploitation, mental health, trafficking, runaways and being unaccompanied refugees.

As the largest shopping centre in the region - with over 160 shops and restaurants and an average footfall of 36 million people a year - our partnership with Bullring offers the potential to bring enormous change to the lives of thousands of young people.

How this partnership benefits Bullring employees

Working together with the Bullring will offer the centre's employees the chance to become part of a team, with specialist training in how to identify and support vulnerable young people who come into the shopping centre.

Once they’ve taken the training, employees will wear a badge identifying themselves as a 'Trained Spotter' - someone who can spot vulnerable children, and someone whom young people know they can approach for help.

Over the course of the two-year partnership, Bullring employees (and visitors) will also be encouraged to take part in fun fundraising activities to raise money to help vulnerable children. Coffee mornings, collections and carol singing will be commonplace, and for the more adventurous there will be opportunities to take part in charity challenges like running the London Marathon or skydiving!

The partnership also encourages the Bullring’s employees to take part in numerous local volunteering opportunities. As well as having the chance to volunteer at local services run by us, such as Pause – the young people’s mental health drop-in for 0–25 year olds, which is based just 100 metres from the centre. Employees can also champion our campaigning work or act as speakers who promote our work in schools and the local community.
