The RCC is supporting Lord Ramsbotham’s amendment to guarantee children and vulnerable young people up to 24 to be able to access civil legal aid for their immigration claims, as well as amendments to bring legal aid for family reunion, victims of human trafficking and judicial review in immigration cases back in scope.

Still at risk - summary

Too many trafficked children are not being adequately protected by the agencies that are supposed to be supporting them. Our report, jointly produced with the Refugee Council and funded by the Home office, found that there have been some improvements with help for trafficked children. Yet far too many opportunities to protect them are being missed because of a culture of doubt and suspicion among professionals.
