The Refuge Children's Consortium (RCC) is concerned that the Bill as currently devised would remove all immigration cases from the scope of legal aid. This would apply to all non-asylum cases without distinction and immigration matters will not be eligible for exceptional funding, no matter how complex. The Lords' amendments advocate that all children under 18 and vulnerable young people are able to access legal aid.
