We work with and for asylum seeking refugee children and their families in and around Preston, Lancaster, Skelmersdale and Burnley.

What we do

  • One to one sessions
  • Group sessions on parenting in the UK
  • Support integration by helping parents to overcome language and cultural barriers to improve their children's lives
  • Increase access to education, play and leisure, social activities, health and other relevant services for families
  • Enable parents to nurture their children successfully by supporting them to use services dealing with stress and trauma 
  • Increase confidence in using services by signposting to relevant agencies
  • Help run drop in sessions
  • Uphold the rights of children and parents through advocacy
  • Increase awareness of issues faced by asylum seeking and refugee families so that local agencies can be more responsive to their needs
  • Work with churches, students and professionals.
