Safe Choices Nottinghamshire provides specialist support to children and young people who have experienced or are at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)

We work collaboratively with Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and other partner agencies to promote prevention, early intervention and risk reduction around CSE.

Our skilled and experienced support staff, engage with children and young people, and offer a personalised support package, inclusive of parents/carers involvement where appropriate. We aim to ensure that children and young people referred into Safe Choices are kept safe and supported and that the level of risk is reduced, alongside improved emotional wellbeing.

We will support children and young people to make disclosures to the Police and work through any prosecution process.

Who is this service available to?

The service is for children and young people aged up to 18 (and those with additional support needs up to the age of 21), who have had a CSE Risk Assessment and are identified as being at medium or high risk.

Those children or young people that are identified as low risk of CSE can be discussed directly with the service.

How to access this service

We are happy to offer consultation in relation to those children and young people that are identified as low risk of CSE.

Referral into Safe Choices is via Children’s Social Care or The Family Service.
