What we do
The Integrated Recovery Management System provided by EYPDAS and Open Road, and commissioned by Essex Drug and Alcohol Partnership, offers a seamless service to young people and adults, their families and carers.
The IRMS provides a single gateway into recovery for clients of all ages and ensures that clients benefit from a consistent, single relationship to support them through their recovery journey.
Where EYPDAS have been working with a young person prior to their 18th birthday we are able to remain their Recovery Worker, and in this role support them to access the range of services provided by the integrated partnership.
How we do it
The IRMS provides recovery management/co-ordination for all clients. This involves being the nominated assesor, allocator and co-ordinator of care.
The Recovery Manager completes the triage and risk assessment elements of the work with the child or young person, and then identifies with them the content of their recovery plan, in partnership with other identified services. When interventions are identified the recovery manager organises the practical elements of this. Young people will be seen where they feel most comfortable e.g. at school, home or in a community setting.
It is likely that the child or young person will also require some psychosocial or other structured interventions. The recovery manager will organise this care with the most appropriate provider, which is likely to be the CHOICES Structured Interventions Service (SIS).
- Personalised assessment
- Care and recovery planning
- One to one support
We work closely with Youth Offending Team workers, Police, CAMHS, Social Care and a range of other professionals to ensure children, young people and families get the support they need.
We accept referrals from professionals, parents and carers – but most importantly, young people can refer themselves to the service. We only accept referrals if the young person has given their consent.
