Who is this service for?

Training courses

Thanks to funding from the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire and associates, we offer free training based on the NHS Mental Health First Aid Kit.  Delivered in partnership with Youth Federation and Cheshire Youth United, the training is for anyone who works with young people aged 10- 18.

We also provide short taster sessions for young people interested in how they can support friends and peers with emotional health and well-being.

One-to-one support

Our referral-based one-to-one support service is for young people who are already using our services or those of Youth Federation and Cheshire Youth United. If a child or young person is already using one of our services and needs to talk to someone at CHAMP, their project worker can refer them.

What are the benefits of the training courses?

  • We will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis - and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
  • Our free training courses are designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and best practice to help you support young people with their emotional health and well-being.
  • With the right tools, you can empower young people to create a mentally healthy, supportive environment and ensure young people have access to support if they need it.

How can I access the training?

Training is free. Due to high demand we advise you to book your place early to avoid disappointment:
