How to make a will

We always recommend that you have your will drawn up by a professional solicitor. A valid and accurate will can give you real peace of mind. If you don’t have a will or one that is up-to-date this can cause extra heart-ache for your family and friends at an already difficult time.

Before you visit a solicitor it’s a good idea to think about what your estate consists of and to spend some time preparing beforehand. You can do this by listing all of your assets and liabilities and thinking about who you would like to benefit.

How to leave a gift to The Children’s Society in your will

If you would like to leave a gift to us in your will, you will need to include our address and registered charity number:

The Children’s Society
Edward Rudolf House
Margery Street
A charity registered in England (221124)

If you want to add a gift to us to your existing will, the easiest way may be to draw up a codicil (an additional legal instruction or amendment).
