Last night, The Children's Society Rise Project won a prestigious CYP Now Award.

In response, service manager, Francesca Nyman said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have won the CYP Now Advice and Guidance Award. The Children's Society Rise Project was set up to better recognise and support trafficked boys and young men.

Over the years we have not only provided direct support to hundreds of vulnerable victims, but also helped authorities, professionals and first responders to recognise the signs that someone is a victim of trafficking and ensure they are treated with the compassion, care and protection they need.

Through a wide variety of methods we help these young men to understand and overcome these traumatic experiences and enable them to start to move forward with their lives.

It is the young people we work with, their resilience, strength and humanity in the face of immense challenges, that inspires and motivates all those involved.

Winning an award like this is a testament to the dedication and commitment staff and volunteers show to everyone who is referred to this much needed service."
