Are your boots made for walking?
08 February 2008
If you've taken part in one of our Bridges or Footsteps for Childhood sponsored walks, you'll love our Walk & Explore events, which will be hosted in Durham (7 June), Canterbury (14 June), St Albans (5 July), Oxford (12 July), London (13 September) and Bristol (20 September).
Participants are eligible for free or discounted entry to the historic landmarks along each route of each walk, which is a great way of saving money and learning about local history.
In each city, you'll be able to explore some of the most fascinating historic sights with your friends and family whilst testing your knowledge on the tales and legends that surround them. With a choice of different routes and lots of great family entertainment, Walk & Explore is the perfect way to support The Children's Society whilst having an unforgettable day out.
This year you can also plan your own walking adventure by signing up for a free Do Your Own Walk & Explore pack. This pack gives you loads of suggestions on how to organise, promote and fundraise for your own walk, as well as an opportunity to order medals, T-shirts and much more.
Walk & Explore is an ideal opportunity to support the charity in your area with friends and family.
