We’re launching our Advent calendar blog on 1 December

We will begin our Advent pilgrimage to Christmas this year by way of our Advent calendar blog. Please visit on Sunday for our first post.

This year during Advent, we will focus on readings from Isaiah to illustrate four themes:

  • Light (Isaiah 2.1-5)
  • A child shall lead them (Isaiah 11.1-10)
  • Hope (Isaiah 35.1-10)
  • Christ present (Isaiah 7.10-16)

Stories, videos, a cartoon and more

We will share stories from a young man destined for a life of destitution before he got involved with one of our projects, films, a cartoon from David Walker,  as well as reflections from Bishop Tim Thornton and Chine Mbubaegbu, poems from Janet Morley and Pádraig Ó Tuama.

Each day offers something different and promises to be as satisfying as a chocolate Advent calendar with way fewer calories. . . unless you put a big box of chocolates by the computer and dip in each day!
