Welcome to our Advent calendar 2015

Join us on a journey through Advent, as we explore faith and think about how the whole Church can better work towards changing the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK this Advent season.

Every day our calendar will bring you a different voice and perspective to help you prepare during Advent. Tomorrow could be a humorous piece from Kate Bottley; an insightful series from Krish Kandiah; music inspired by the Magnificat; or a freshly penned poem from Pádraig Ó Tuama.

Advent is a busy season. There are cards to write, presents to buy, errands to run, and festive celebrations to attend. Our hope is that this Advent you will find time to reflect, to take stock and to spend time discovering more about God’s incredible love for humanity revealed through the person of Jesus. We pray that as you read through each blog post, you will learn more about and become better equipped to reach out to the most vulnerable young people in society this Advent season. We begin with a message from Bishop Tim Thornton, who challenges us all to remember those children who live in poverty or face neglect.

Join us this Advent as we work together to make this country a better place for all children. You can make a difference today by:
