MPs speak up for 16 and 17 year olds in Parliament

Our Seriously Awkward campaign is calling on the Government to amend the Policing and Crime Bill to make sure 16 and 17 year olds are protected from sexual exploitation.

On Monday 7 March, the bill was discussed for the first time by MPs in Parliament during its  second reading

We were live tweeting during the debate. Below is our round up of the discussions.

We were really encouraged by the debate, with many MPs showing their support for our campaign.

We’re now looking forward to giving oral evidence on Tuesday 15 to the Bill Committee, which we’ll also be live tweeting.
