It may be controversial but…

'What is for dessert?'

My brothers and I always asked that question hopefully, knowing the inevitable response: ‘Fruit.’

Our hearts sank. Perhaps if we hadn’t asked, I could have avoided that questionably brown banana that was placed in front of me.

But time does funny things. I can’t stop eating grapes and raspberries, sweet potatoes have become a staple and, it may be controversial but, I enjoy (al dente) broccoli!

The Christmas period is often marked by a time of indulgence, after all it is a feast. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy healthy food as part of it.

What are the healthy foods you love? Write a list of them and make sure they are added to your next shopping list.

Well-being and mental health

‘What we eat and drink has an impact on our physical health, mental well-being and performance at work. It is important that we eat healthily both at home and in the workplace.’ - University of Nottingham
