2010-2020: A decade in review

The last ten years have been full of important events, milestones and success stories.

Our amazing campaigns and policy teams and supporters have worked tirelessly to make a difference to the lives of children across the UK.

To celebrate what we’ve achieved together, we are sharing our key moments from the last decade and looking at what we’ve got planned for the future.

Our decade in review

Use our interactive timeline below to take a look at the changes we've helped to make for children and young people over the past ten years.

Looking forward

As we begin this new decade, there is still much change urgently needed to improve the lives of children. More than four million children are growing up in poverty, rising numbers of children are in care, children are being exposed to complex risks such as county lines criminal exploitation, children continue to wait months and sometimes years for mental health support, and the happiness of children and young people continues to decline.

With your continued support, we will be able to achieve so much for children across the country.

This year, we're calling on the Government to measure children's well-being nationally. Currently, government measures the well-being of adults but doesn't measure that of our children. By listening to young people in 2020 and beyond, we can understand the issues they face and work to make positive change.
