Making a difference
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. To help young people open up, we might start with chess, a fidget spinner or writing thoughts and fears down. We offer support one-to-one and in groups. And we never describe children as ‘hard to reach’.
We know they simply need adults who are willing to listen and reach them where they really are. Right now, with mental health waiting lists spiralling, our drop-ins are often the only place a young person can get timely support.
