Who can access the service?

Safe in Essex works with young people 8-19 years old at an early intervention level, who are previously unknown to statutory services and haven’t before received any specialist interventions.

What support does the service provide?

Predominantly, we offer group work delivered in schools. We deliver six week programmes around identified issues such as anger management, healthy relationships, e-safety etc. and also a general risky behaviours group.

Safe in Essex is a FIF (Family Innovation Fund) provision and we work in partnership with Kids Inspire. Kids Inspire provide one-to-one support for risky behaviours, for young people for whom groups are not suitable and would benefit more from an individual approach. Kids Inspire can also offer coaching and mentoring support additionally as part of FIF.

How do I access the service?

For one-to-ones, download the one-to-one referral form and send it back to earlysupport@kidsinspire.org.uk.

For groups, download a group referral form and send it back to FIFreferrals@childrenssociety.org.uk.

Usual waiting time to hear back is around 2-3 weeks but this can fluctuate dependent on number of referrals being dealt with.
