Solicitor helping to write a will

The cost of writing a will can often be a real concern. Because gifts in wills make such a vital contribution to The Children’s Society we have partnered with the National Free Wills Network to offer our supporters a free will-writing service.

Having an up-to-date will prepared by a solicitor is the best way to ensure that your future wishes will be carried out. It is the perfect way to leave something to help us continue our vital work for generations to come.

What are the conditions of using the scheme?

We only ask that you are 55 years or over. There are no requirements to include us in your will but we do hope that you will see this as an opportunity to remember one of you favourite causes.

Participating solicitors have agreed that the scheme covers the cost of a ‘simple’ will. If you require additional advice or have a particularly complicated will it might be the case that you will need to pay for these additional services. Solicitors will be able to write a new will or amend an existing will under the scheme.

Once you sign up we will arrange for your step by step guide to be sent on to you along with a list of your nearest participating solicitors. You can then contact your chosen solicitor directly to make an appointment to make/update your will.
