How to access the service

For many young people, additional and more specialist support is required, and we have developed and grown a number of services to meet your needs. Our services can be accessed:

  • By self-referral: call us on (01803) 290330  or email us at checkpoint@childrenssociety.org.uk
  • Your parents/foster carers can contact
  • With the support of an already involved professional such as doctors, youth workers, teachers, social workers etc.

To make an appointment

If you would like to make an appointment to speak to a CheckPoint worker, you will need to call us on 01803 290330 to arrange this. We can then make sure that the right person will be available to speak to you.

We can see you at our centre in Ellacombe, if that's not possible, we may be able to visit you at home or arrange to see you at a place more convenient for you, like school.

When: We are open Monday-Friday (except for bank holidays, Christmas and Boxing Day). Please note appointments must be made in advance by telephone: 01803 290330

Where: We are just a five-minute walk from Torquay town centre. Free parking is available on surrounding roads.
