Do you live or work in London and want to help transform young lives by volunteering?

Volunteer London

Over the last year our services across the UK provided vital support to over 13,000 vulnerable children and young people and our campaign wins brought life-changing support to millions more. None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers who continue to give their time every day to change young lives.

Some of the ways people volunteer in London

  • Speaking out for young people. Volunteer Speakers deliver talks and presentations in their local community, raising awareness of our work and raising funds to support young people.
  • Supporting young people in our London-based services. Volunteer Mentors and Befrienders in our Stratford hub provide direct support to the vulnerable children and young people who visit our services. Our London-based projects include RISE, which supports young boys and men who are survivors of trafficking, and the Destitute Youth project, which works with young refugees and migrants.
  • Volunteering in our shops. We have over 100 shops across the UK which wouldn’t be able to remain open without the help of our amazing Retail Volunteers. Our London-based shops include Ealing, Chingford and South Woodford. By volunteering in one of our shops you could gain new skills to boost your CV and raise vital funds to help children and young people.
  • Volunteering in our head office. Occasionally we have opportunities to volunteer in our head office in Clerkenwell. Depending on the role, this might involve some admin and communications tasks, or helping with a team project for a few months.
