A Good Childhood, published by Penguin, marked the completion of The Good Childhood® Inquiry, commissioned by The Children’s Society as the UK's first independent inquiry into what makes for a good childhood today. Over 400 people attended the launch event which provided an opportunity to hear authors Richard Layard and Judy Dunn talk about the findings and recommendations of the inquiry. Other panel members also attended and there was a question and answer session following the presentations. Mark Easton, the BBC Home Editor chaired the evening.

The successful event concluded with a drinks reception and took place at Central Hall, Westminster, London.
