Knit some love...
When The Children's Society published the findings of The Good Childhood ® Inquiry, the most striking conclusion was that children need to be loved.
In many ways it isn't a surprise and The Children's Society's direct work for 128 years has been an expression of love. From the child on the street running away from family breakdown, to the young person getting a second chance after a criminal prosecution, love, justice and forgiveness inform all our work.
Love is the theme of The Big Stitch
Get sponsored to knit these great little hearts. You could make them into key rings or badges and sell them to friends or family to raise even more to help The Children's Society work with more children facing abuse, neglect and poverty in their daily lives - building the foundations of a good childhood with thousands of children and their families.
Tell us how many hearts you have knitted
We know of 1200 hearts knitted so far. Email us and tell us how many you have knitted and we will add your hearts to the total knitted so far.
We will next total up the number of hearts knitted on 13 June and 20 November.

New to the photostream - Stanley School of Technology's heart Christmas tree. Staff and students bought a heart for £1, wrote a message on the attached tag and they were delivered by hand to their recipients. What a great idea? Do you have any great ideas to share? Let us know.
