Fundraising tips
Keep it simple...
Collecting for The Children's Society can be fun, quick and easy - just think about what you can do to join in and make a difference. We can support you with everything you'll need to collect - for example we can provide you with collection envelopes and boxes to take around and leave out in your work place or at a community or social function.
Do you need permission to collect?
- Collections on private property (i.e. at work or at your local supermarket)
If you plan to collect on privately owned property, then simply obtain permission in writing from the owner or manager of the property. We would also recommend contacting your Local Authority to forewarn them where and when you will be collecting. - House-to-house collections
The Children's Society has informed all local authorities that we will be collecting during 29th March - 12th April 2008. If you organise a house-to-house collection for us during these 2 weeks then you do not need to obtain any other permission. However please ensure that you wear your collection authority badge at all times whilst collecting. - Street collections
If you plan to organise a static collection in the street, then we advise that you contact your local authority to forewarn them where and when you will be collecting. Most local authorities publish information about this on their websites.
