This year our annual Collection for children fundraising appeal took place between 29th March - 12th April, with hundreds of supporters getting out and about in their local communities and collecting for The Children's Society. Don't forget you can actually organise a collection at any time of year and in whatever way suits you best. Organising a collection can be quick, simple, fun and a great way to help us reach out to children in your area who are alone and at risk on the streets. Whether you collect for an hour or so in your town centre, outside your local supermarket, or leave collection envelopes on desks at work or pews at church, we can provide you with everything you will need to take part.
Every person who organises a collection is vital to us and the more collectors we have the better. Each year, just a few hundred collection organisers and their collection teams raised hundreds of thousands of pounds across the country - enough to provide the 15,000 children under 16 who have been thrown out of home with basic provisions, including warm clothing, toiletries and a blanket.
