The strong imagery of the Christingle and linked scriptures of the Bible can help us to explore many Biblical themes in more depth. To help young people and adults explore these themes further we have, in partnership with Church of England Children's Advisers, developed several group activities based around thought, discussion and prayer.
Reflections
Introduce your group to the themes and ideas of Christingle and use these activities to explore these themes. There are many scriptures you can use to explore the Biblical themes of justice and peace, here are a few suggestions:

The Children's Society believes that every child deserves a good childhood and in the justice that is inherent within this statement. To explore the ways in which we work to uphold that statement and the children and young people we work with click here.
You may wish to use the reflections from these activities creatively, here are some suggestions on how to do that through an art exhibition or through poetry.
Fun Activities
To explore Christingle with younger members of your group you can use print off our pictures of a Church, Boy and Christingle for them to colour in. We also have suggestions for fun games, a crossword and wordsearch, The Children's Society quiz and some ideas for crafts and games.
Why not include the whole group and make a giant Christingle! You can use the activity to highlight the symbolism of all the different aspects of the Christingle and have great fun at the same time.
