Importance of legacies

We can provide care for children like Sarah who was 8 when her step dad started sexually abusing her. When her mum didn't believe her, she ran away from home. She ended up in a children's home, but because she was bullied she ran from there too. Sarah ended up on the streets; she took drugs and started soliciting. She was arrested and convicted. When The Children's Society found Sarah they gave her food and other things she needed, "I was so relieved to speak to someone who believed what had happened to me. I can't tell you what a difference they made"
The Children's Society helped Sarah to get off the street and found her somewhere to live, "From that point on my life got better. I'm independent now and for the first time in my life I have something to look forward to."

Few people who read Sarah's story remain unmoved by it. Thankfully, it has a positive ending because The Children's Society found Sarah and were able to give her the security she needed to rebuild her life.

That's something for which everyone who has supported The Children's Society can take credit, because every single contribution helps to ensure that we are there when it matters for children like Sarah.

It is essential for us to make sure that this vital source of funding continues into the future. So we hope that people like you, who support our work, will consider mentioning The Children's Society when you make or update your Will.
