'I know that without their help I probably would have killed myself. The Children's Society really helped me when no one else could'  Amy

Amy is not alone. Each year in the UK, neglect, abuse and isolation force 100,000 children under the age of 16 to run away from home. Of these, one in six say that they sleep rough, or with strangers, in order to survive. Many become involved with drugs or alcohol and others turn to prostitution.

But you can change this appalling situation by supporting The Children's Society today.

How your donation can help

£5 can enable a child being bullied in school or their community to have their first session with one of our specialist workers.

£10 could provide a homeless young person with basic provisions including warm clothing, toiletries and a blanket.

£15 could pay for an activity to enable disabled children to develop a specific skill.

£20 could pay for a session with a counsellor to help a young victim of sexual abuse.
