Case study - Lehman Brothers Foundation Europe

In 2007, The Lehman Brothers Foundation Europe awarded a £30,000 grant to New Londoners, The Children's Society project working with Roma children and young refugees in East London. In addition to their invaluable donation to support young refugees, Lehman Brothers staff have generously volunteered their time to help with a variety of activities run by the project.

“The Lehman Brothers Foundation Europe is encouraged by The Children’s Society’s work with young refugees and impressed to see such pioneering work in our local community. Our grant is enabling approximately 100 isolated young refugees and asylum seekers to receive the vital support they need when they first arrive, often alone, in a new country. We look forward to working together and exploring opportunities for our staff to become involved with the Project through volunteering their time.”
