Nyrstar and The Children's Society
We are delighted to announce that Nyrstar have chosen The Children’s Society as their first ever charity partner. Nyrstar is today the world’s leading zinc producer and a major lead producer with a network of locations across the world.
Nyrstar’s London office will be supporting The Children’s Society Genesis Project throughout the partnership, making a local impact through volunteering and fundraising. Nyrstar’s Budel office in The Netherlands have already started the ball rolling with a very generous donation of 2000 euros to replace the cost of sending Christmas cards.
Genesis Project Manager, Clifton McDonald also attended Nyrstar’s Christmas party to give staff a first hand account of the work that he and his dedicated team do, working with over 700 children and young people a year.
"We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile charity. As a new company we were looking for a charity that we could support in the long-term, both financially and as volunteers. We look forward to contributing to The Children’s Society through payroll giving, raising donations, supporting the Society’s fund raising events and also through volunteering with the Genesis Project, where we hope to use our professional skills to help young people understand the opportunities open to them."
