- Stop Press! - The Children’s Society has recently won two awards at the National Payroll Giving awards to recognise the success of our Payroll Giving Partnership with Ecclesiastical Insurance. Working with Ecclesiastical, our Payroll Giving team relaunched their Payroll Giving scheme which saw participation rates soar from under 1% to over 8% of staff taking part.
This saw our partnership win Highly Commended in the Best Relaunch of an Exising Scheme, whilst we were the winner of the Best Employer and Charity Promotion. Our award-winning Payroll Giving team would love to work with your company to achieve similar success levels to really maximise the effectiveness of your Payroll Giving scheme.
- 6-10 June 2007, London to Amsterdam on a bike!
An Ecclesiastical team cycled all the way to Holland on a strenuous four day London to Amsterdam bike challenge.
The 'Saddle-sore Four' raised over £3,000 for The Children's Society.

- 15-17 June 2007, Lake District Challenge
Six other staff members canoed, cycled and hiked across the Lake District the following weekend! Racing across the River Derwent and climbing up Scafell Pike, they raised a further £3,000 for our vital work.

- 28 June 2007 - Teambuilding Decoration Project
A dedicated, lively team of 14 senior staff decorated the interior of our Western Corner project in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Western Corner supports children with severe disabilities and their siblings by running group workshops and social activities and providing an independent advocate for local disabled children.
Thank you Ecclesiastical for turning the project base around and for providing all the decorating materials on the day. The children especially love the sensory room with all those Nimo characters!

More and more staff continue to raise pounds for the charity.
Staff are entering the Great North and South Run, organising work raffles and auctions and using our special functions - our Annual Ball at Claridge's - for corporate entertaining.
