CIS Pyramid CIS employee abseils down The Co-operative pyramid to raise money

Over 200 Manchester employees  launched their fundraising efforts in style by abseiling down the pyramid, home of smile, the Internet bank in Stockport. This novel way of getting to work raised £10,000 for The Children's Society, increasing awareness for our Charity of the Year partnership.

Lake District Challenge
Severe weather warnings did not deter 15 employees from taking part in our Lake District Challenge. These determined fundraisers survived 3 days of mountain biking, climbing, kayaking and hiking before reaching the peak of Scarfell Pike!

CIS Working with our Projects
CIS employees have been giving up their time to provide football support for our projects. They have been encouraging small community teams in their footballing endeavours, giving our community projects something to really smile about this year.

In March, CIS presented our Help and Hope project with football kits and footballs to encourage them to build confidence and friendships in their community. Leap project worker, Abdou Sidibe is thrilled with the results, commenting that, "It has really inspired us to start our own team."

PHARMACY
We were thrilled that Co-operative Pharmacy chose to support us at their Summer of Swing Ball, raising a staggering £45,000 for The Children's Society!

Stars of Strictly Come Dancing, Erin Boag and Anton de Beke, entertained the 300 guests and even gave individual dancing tuition to two employees due to celebrate their respective weddings in the coming months!

Nuneaton sponsored walk taken for The Children's Society

Travelcare and The Co-operative bank in Nuneaton joined forces to raise over £600 by doing an 'Edge to Edge' Sponsored walk.  The employees survived a long canal-side walk from one side of Nuneaton to the other, without losing anybody in the canal!

Co-operative LEGAL SERVICES help our work in Bristol
The Co-operative's newest business, launched this year, looks forward to working with The Children's Society's Legacy team to help us with our free will-writing promotion in Bristol in November.

FUNERAL CARE's Football Partnership
Thanks to Brian Taylor and the Funeralcare Directors in the North Yorkshire area who ran a football shirt auction for The Children's Society. They contacted over 30 Premiership, national and local clubs for shirts, before auctioning them off to employees and friends.

We were delighted to meet many of these fundraisers at the It's A Knockout competition in Manchester. Well played!
