Procter and Gamble
In October 2007, Procter & Gamble donated 3p from selected products sold in The Co-operative stores around the UK to The Children's Society and its partner charities: Tros Gynnal (Wales); Aberlour (Scotland); and Extern (Northern Ireland). The initiative, which included popular household brands such as Ariel, Herbal Essences and Fairy, raised a fantastic £250,000 and enabled consumers to use their spending power to support children in their local area.
