Tips to get more box holders
These are just a few suggestions that have been put forward for placing new boxes but the decision will of course be yours.
- Place the enclosed short article (below) in your parish magazine encouraging readers to become a box-holder
- Use the enclosed leaflet in your local neighbourhood as a cold drop mailing, to encourage others to take a box. Call 0845 300 1128 to order more.
- Do a short talk about the Stand by Me Campaign at your Church Service following which you ask members of the congregation to assist by taking a box.
- Give a box to friends or family members (each box represents a child)
- Ask local uninformed groups e.g. Brownies, Guides etc in your area to have a box
- Ask local businesses to take a box such as a hairdresser, or maybe your local childcare centre
