Community Fundraising

 

An amazing 10,000 people support The Children's Society by fundraising in their local communities. You can get involved too!

What does the Community Fundraising team do?

Between them the team raise money and generate awareness about The Children's Society's work by getting in touch with local communities and encouraging them to raise funds by:

  • holding local fundraising events
  • organising church services
  • organising fundraising groups
  • distributing money collection boxes and much more.

Should I get involved in Community Fundraising?

Yes! If you want to join a vast network of like-minded people who share your passion for giving children a good childhood.

What will I gain from Community Fundraising?

You will have opportunities to:

  • develop new skills as well as use and share your existing skills
  • meet new people and get more involved in your community
  • build a greater sense of community in your area
  • organise and take part in lots of fun events
  • gain satisfaction from making a real difference to children's lives in England.

How do I get involved?

There are many ways you can get involved. You can raise money simply by holding one of our House Collection Boxes or by donating change through our Community Collection Boxes

If you want to get more active, try setting up a Fundraising Group with friends or organise Parish Fundraising events in your local church. We also have other Volunteer Opportunities that you can apply for. To find out more please contact our Supporter Action line on 0845 300 1128.
