Walk & Explore St Albans 2008

Named after the first British Christian Martyr, St Alban, this ancient Roman city has over 2,000 years of history to share with you. The first copy of the Magna Carta was drawn up here in 1215 and it is home to the only school in the English-speaking world to have educated a pope, Adrian IV.

Both walking adventures encompass the city’s greatest sights. Highlights in the 2007 series included the Roman Theatre, courtesy of Lord and Lady Verulam and the treasures of the Verulamium Park.

In addition to the walks themselves, there’ll be lots of entertainment on offer. Our Art and Fun Tent will host face -painting, games and arts and craft and there’ll be live music, dance and much, much more.

Coinciding with Fuze World Music Day as part of the St Albans Festival, participants of Walk & Explore can also soak up the vibrant atmosphere this event is bound to create well into the evening!
