Thank you...

...to everyone who supported the Walk & Explore London event this year. The weather was perfect, lots of fun was had and most importantly, we raised lots of money to help fund our vital work with children– in short, a fantastic day!

Hopefully, lots of you will have raised sponsorship money to help fund our 58 projects around the country. If you’ve not already done so, you can pay in your sponsor money here.

For those that missed Walk & Explore London 2008, we will be back next year, so watch this space for more information!  If you can't wait until then though, why not   register to Organise-Your-Own Walk & Explore.

Walk & Explore London, 2008

The London event is the jewel in the crown of the Walk & Explore flagship walks and was one of our favourite events in the 2008 series. To get a flavour of the day, take a look at some of the great pictures we have from the day.

All three of the walking adventures centred the River Thames, from Parliament in the West to Tower Bridge in the East, encompassing some of the capital’s greatest sights, from major landmarks to lesser-known treasures.

With costumed characters re-telling the myths and legends of London and all the delights of the Mayor's Thames Festival, Walk & Explore London was a fantastic day for all.

In addition to the walks themselves, there was lots of entertainment on offer and our Art and Fun Tent hosted face painting, games and arts and craft .
