Thank you...
...to everyone who supported Walk & Explore Bristol event this year. The weather was perfect, lots of fun was had and most importantly, we raised lots of money to help fund our vital work with children– in short, a fantastic day!
Hopefully, lots of you will have raised sponsorship money to help fund our 58 projects around the country. If you’ve not already done so, you can pay in your sponsor money here.
For those that missed Walk & Explore Bristol 2008, we will hopefully be back next year, so watch this space for more information! If you can't wait until then though, why not register to Organise-Your-Own Walk & Explore.
Walk & Explore Bristol 2008
Walk & Explore Bristol was the perfect way for us to round off the 2008 event series. Held alongside the Bristol Festival, the event was a fantastic way to explore the city. Take a look at our photo gallery to get a flavour of the great fun that was had!
Both of the walking adventures centred around Bristol Cathedral, encompassing some of the city’s greatest sights, from major landmarks to lesser-known treasures.
With costumed characters re-telling the myths and legends of the city, Walk & Explore Bristol was a fantastic day for all. Bristol's very own real-life pirate, Pirate Pete, was also on hand to lead the Young Detectives and regale them with stories of Bristol's pirate history.
In addition to the walks themselves, there was lots of entertainment on offer and our Art and Fun Tent hosted face painting, games and arts and craft .
